Just back from an amazing trip up north to Waiheke Island. We had two weeks up there & were lucky to stay in a great bach in a pretty remote part of Waiheke, Hooks Bay. Its on the north eastern point & the bach sits on a thin piece of land with a beach either side.
Was awesome to take our wee girl Aaru on the trip & she was very excited for her first Christmas. She also just turned 9 months while we were away. We were greeted with a pod of Orcas on Christmas morning!
Check out the rocking horse Penny’s dad Ali made for Aaru, so amazing.
There is a great walk that leads up to an old Maori Pa site (Tikitikiatongi) that has stunning views looking over to Little & Great Barrier Islands & the Northern point of the Coromandel.
Lots of fishing from a little boat, catching Snapper, Trevally & I even caught a lost Blue Cod.
Lots of images here, mostly of Aaru 🙂
Happy New Year!
